Field Trip Friday - Tombstone

Daddy loves the Wild West. Since we had to drive through Arizona (mind you this was NOT on the way, actually an hour off the path!) we decided to take a detour for a few hours and see where the legendary gunslingers lived there lives.

I have to admit I was a little disappointed at how commercialized the whole town has become but there were a couple cool museums and the stagecoach ride was fun for the girls. We didn't have enough time to eat in the saloon but I snapped a quick pic and we  had to get back on the road so we missed the gun fight at OK Corral. Maybe next time!

Field Trip Friday - Courthouse, Finally 5

Some of you may or may not know the Big E is from a previous relationship. It has been years in the making but today we finally got to go to the courthouse and become an official family of 5! We are so grateful for our journey in times of joy and sorrow and though this portion has caused m ugh heartache in the past - there is nothing but pure joy today! Daddy got down on one knee and gave Big E a pink necklace (her fav color) to ask to "officially" be her Daddy. He has been with her since she was 18 months old but this moment signified something bigger. Here's to the newest leg in our journey - off to Washington next week!

Field Trip Friday - Saying Goodbye to Sea World

I have had season passes to Sea World on and off since its opening in 1988. I loved it as a child and dreamed of one day being a dolphin trainer. I have always loved the sea and the calm and connection to this world I feel when I am near her shores. Big E will be 7 this year and I have been taking her since she was in the womb, same with the other sisters. I love looking back and watching them grow being able to see and learn about these beautiful, majestic creatures. I know for some Sea World has a bad wrap and I am not sure how much of it holds true but what I do know is that Sea World does more for conservation and helping educate about sea life than any other company. We have been proud season pass holders and we will always visit our finned friends when we come back home.

Wordless Wednesday - Little Sickie

Ok, a few words, Little E has been sick for the past few weeks throwing up on and off (really, in the middle of packing?!?!). We took her in for fear of dehydration. All the tests came back negative, all they can see is some inflammation in her stomach lining. Bless her to feel better soon, not only do I hate seeing my little ones sick but I DO NOT cant to clean up road trip vomit. :/
